Food choices for a healthy sea: Save the Baltic Sea youth event ┃ Copenhagen
Apr. 22, 2024Date: May 1, 2024
Did you know our simple daily choices can have an impact on the Baltic Sea environment? For almost half a century the Baltic Sea has been headlined as the most polluted sea in Europe. Unfortunately, it has also made its name globally, having a place among the most polluted water bodies in the world.
The majority of pollution originates from inland activities, which gives individuals power to change this situation. Thus, on 1st of May, the Save The Baltic Sea expedition and Lithuanian Youth Society in Denmark, along with Food Sharing Copenhagen, are inviting youth for an educational yet engaging event to learn more about the impact of our daily habits and make waves of change.
During the event, you will get the chance to:
Hear all about the experiences of the hiking team which embarked on a 6,000 kilometer journey around the Baltic Sea
Discuss and learn about sea-friendlier, sustainable food choices and daily habits
Participate in a workshop on preventing food waste
All of this in a fun and relaxed environment with snacks and a chance to network with different youth organizations and the Save The Baltic Sea team. Join us!
